Step 2: Make it official!

So first off I'd like to share my excitement! Got this in the mail today and couldn't be happier!

In less than 98 days I will be boarding a plane back to England! All that I have left to do now is raise as much money as possible. I've sold almost everything, have my ticket, and have already started packing! I know, I'm crazy.

I am trying to make the most of my last few months in the States. This past weekend I went to TN to visit my Grandparents and then to KY to represent Subway at the Hike, Bike & Paddle.

The Smokies were absolutely beautiful! If you've never been, go! We saw 6 bears! I know, you've probably seen more at the zoo, but seeing them in their territory was kinda cool!

Well, that's all for now. There might not be another post until I actually get there. Now it's just time to wait!

Step 1: Freak Out!

Hey guys!

If you're reading this, you know that in just 4 short months I'll be getting on an airplane in Fort Wayne, IN and moving to England.

People keep asking me why I'm moving and I give them all the same two reasons:
1) I'm 24, I'm healthy, and I can.
2) I want to be closer to my Mum.

Simple as that folks. No, I don't have a job lined up nor do I know where I'm going to live. But does that matter? Not at all! Life is too short to settle for a life less than one you know you're capable of living!

So I will be blogging a bit before I leave and hopefully once a month once I get there. Starting with today.

This post is titled "Step 1: Freak Out!" for a very good reason.. because that's exactly what I did when I bought a one way ticket! When I realized my dream of moving back to England was actually going to come true, I had a little freak out moment. And then in true Laura fashion, I made a list of everything I needed to do.

I have gotten pretty far on that list in a very short amount of time! Selling my car, canceling some memberships, getting rid of internet(!!), and selling most of my possessions. What's left? Get my UK passport... which will be sent off to Her Majesty's Passport Office next week. I'm serious.. that's what it's called. I still have a bit more money to raise and some more stuff to sell, but I'll get there!

That's all for now. Stay tuned for the next step in my journey abroad!
